IDPA

Weekly IDPA matches started at Big Woods Goods in March of 2011. IDPA is now available to the shooters in Cherokee County (NW of Atlanta) Our facilities are first class and we look forward to developing a new group of shooters in this part of the metro Atlanta area. New shooters are always welcome. If you are interested in IDPA we suggest you read our New Shooter Info page, pack your gear and head out to our next match. Registration for this event is preferred. You can sign up for the week or weeks you will be attending by going to our Events Calendar, selecting the week you will be joining us and following the sign up instruction.

Matches are held on Thursday evenings. The match starts at 7:00 PM. If you are a new shooter, please arrive 30 minutes early and request a safety briefing. The typical match consists of 4 stages requiring approximately 50 rounds and lasts approximately 2 hours. One of the great things about shooting indoors is that the weather does not impact the match, so come on out! Check out the video on some of the things they do at the range.

Match Director

Match Director Brian Whitley

 

Brian Whitley is the match director for the Thursday night match at Big Woods Goods. Brian has been shooting IDPA since 2008 and was certified as a Safety Officer in 2009.

Brian has graciously donated their time to get this new match up and running.
